I’m Louise Soucy, a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Soucy Accounting Services. I provide bookkeeping and accounting services to small businesses.
In 1994, my husband and I moved to Mount Desert Island when I accepted the position of Vice President of Finance at MDI Hospital. Eight years and 2 children later, I left the hospital so that I could spend more time with my children. While they were in school, I worked part-time – first as Finance Manager at the MDI YMCA and then as a tax preparer. I prepared taxes for many small businesses, noting that they were often in need of timely and accurate bookkeeping.
I started my own business early in 2018 to help small business owners with their accounting and bookkeeping needs.
My husband and I have lived in Southwest Harbor since 1995.
We have 2 grown children. In our free time, we like to play golf, hike, and spend time with family.
I reside in Southwest Harbor with my husband, Matt, and two children, Will and Bo. Originally from upstate New York, I earned my MPA from Syracuse University, and studied Accounting and Small Business Management in undergrad. My experience ranges from working with non-profit organizations to local government to small businesses, and I’m currently working towards earning my CPA license. I enjoy running, hiking with my dogs, beekeeping, and playing music with my family.
