OUR TEAM

Louise Soucy, CPA

I’m Louise Soucy, a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Soucy Accounting Services.  I  provide bookkeeping and accounting services to small businesses.

I grew up in Caribou, Maine and attended the University of Maine where I received my BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and finance.
I began my professional career at Arthur Young and Company in Portland, Maine. I worked there for several years before becoming a finance manager at Mercy Hospital.

In 1994, my husband and I moved to Mount Desert Island when I accepted the position of Vice President of Finance at MDI Hospital. Eight years and 2 children later, I left the hospital so that I could spend more time with my children. While they were in school, I worked part-time – first as Finance Manager at the MDI YMCA and then as a tax preparer. I prepared taxes for many small businesses, noting that they were often in need of timely and accurate bookkeeping.

I started my own business early in 2018 to help small business owners with their accounting and bookkeeping needs.

My husband and I have lived in Southwest Harbor since 1995.
We have 2 grown children. In our free time, we like to play golf, hike, and spend time with family.
