I’m Louise Soucy, a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Soucy Accounting Services. I provide bookkeeping and accounting services to small businesses.
I grew up in Caribou, Maine and attended the University of Maine where I received my BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and finance.
I began my professional career at Arthur Young and Company in Portland, Maine. I worked there for several years before becoming a finance manager at Mercy Hospital.
In 1994, my husband and I moved to Mount Desert Island when I accepted the position of Vice President of Finance at MDI Hospital. Eight years and 2 children later, I left the hospital so that I could spend more time with my children. While they were in school, I worked part-time – first as Finance Manager at the MDI YMCA and then as a tax preparer. I prepared taxes for many small businesses, noting that they were often in need of timely and accurate bookkeeping.
I started my own business early in 2018 to help small business owners with their accounting and bookkeeping needs.
My husband and I have lived in Southwest Harbor since 1995.
We have 2 grown children. In our free time, we like to play golf, hike, and spend time with family.
Emilie resides in Southwest Harbor with her husband, Matt, and two children, Will and Bo. Originally from upstate New York, Emilie earned her MPA from Syracuse University, and studied Accounting and Small Business Management in undergrad. Emilie’s experience ranges from working with non-profit organizations to local government to small businesses, and she is currently working towards earning her CPA license. She enjoys running, hiking with her dogs, beekeeping, and playing music with her family.
